My CASIO(s)
Some time ago, after getting completely fed up with my Apple Watch, I wanted to go in the opposite direction.
I was looking at the Garmin Instinct 2X. Something simpler. Something that wouldn’t need to be charged every day, updated all the time, or constantly remind me that it’s a tiny computer strapped to my wrist.
Then, as a sort of temporary step in between, I got a CASIO F-105W.
I actually wrote about it in my first post here.
The funny thing is that I expected it to be just a temporary watch. Something cheap to wear while I figured out what I actually wanted.
Instead, I became slightly obsessed with how ridiculously simple it is.
A few months later, that hasn’t really changed.
But I’m starting to worry that I’m developing some typical CASIO-user behaviour.
I saw someone wearing a G-Shock Original DW-9052 recently.
And…
I don’t know.
I just love them.
That chunky, slightly ridiculous shape looks like something I could wear for another twenty years and still like.
Of course, now I want one.
The funny thing is that it would basically do the same things as my F-105W.
But it’s different. :D
