Another day - 1
I haven’t written anything here for a while, mostly because I have too many things in my head at the same time.
I’ve been drawing again. Another slightly creepy picture, because apparently that’s what my brain wants to make lately.
Today is the first day of autumn. I really like this time of year. The air changes, the evenings get darker and somehow everything feels a little quieter. I’ve been listening to Propagandhi quite a lot lately, which probably fits the mood.
I’ve also been doing some surprisingly practical things. The lock on our front door broke, and instead of buying a new part I ended up fixing it with a 3D printed one. I still find it slightly amusing that this is now a perfectly normal sentence in my life.
I’m also thinking about a new car. I somehow have three cars in my head right now.
a) The car I actually want. Volvo Amazon
b) The car I actually need. Dodge Durango
c) And the car that would probably be the sensible thing to buy. Volvo XC90
Those three cars, of course, have absolutely nothing in common.
I’ve been spending a lot of time in the garden too. The tomatoes are finally coming in, which is one of those small things that makes all the work during the year feel worth it. There is something really satisfying about eating something that was growing right outside your door. Now waiting for my pumpkins.
And then there is coffee.
I love the smell of coffee and mostly in autumn. Really love it. I can walk past someone making coffee and immediately think that I want a cup.
Except I don’t like coffee.
I’ve tried. More than once.
I think I’ve always expected it to taste the way it smells. It doesn’t. At least not to me. And every time I drink it I remember that I still don’t actually like it.
Maybe one day I’ll get there.
Anyway, these are the things that have been occupying my head lately.
Nothing particularly important.
Just life. Reported.
