About Me
Heya! I’m Nexl.

I survived Y2K and somehow got stuck there.
I still like the old way of using the internet. Personal websites, weird little corners, old games, old hardware and the feeling that you could just make a website because you felt like it.
I’ve always liked technology that has some history to it. Things that keep evolving instead of simply disappearing, and things that are still around because people care enough to keep them alive. I have a soft spot for open source too btw.
I skate, I go to the woods and mountains with my family, spend too much time in the garden and usually forget where I left my phone. I’ve been skateboarding since 1996. I don’t compete. I don’t care much about rules, just ride. Maybe the only rule: If it rains, I draw. If it doesn’t, I skate. Both shut everything else out for a while.
Yeah, I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember too.
And there’s always music.
I’ve been listening to some of the same bands for more than 25 years. The Offspring, Pennywise, Social Distortion, Deftones, Liquido, Guano Apes, Gorillaz, so the oldest ones. Then Rise Against, CKY, Propagandhi, Evergreen Terrace, Counterparts and plenty of others. Some songs are attached to memories I still remember after three decades.
Music, skateboarding, drawing and the internet are all different things, but somehow they ended up pointing in the same direction.
Then I found this treasure, Neocities.
The old internet wasn’t gone after all.
So here I am.
If you ended up here and thought “hey, I get it”, send me an email.
